Discover the beauty hidden in your darkness

It is in the darkness that we have the power to discover our true selves. When we soften our gaze and turn it inward, invisible forces meet us, ready to lead us where we need to be.

I Help People Find Beauty In Darkness

Invisible light exists in the most unlikely of places. For decades, I've studied various forms of darkness. From a young age, I've held the darkest memories and moments of other people’s psyches. I am deeply attuned to the emotional states of others, which helps me see, sense, and feel the imbalances and potentials hidden within the shadow of another.

I was a weird kid.

My thoughts were consumed by hauntingly beautiful things, such as cemeteries, dark basements, psychological thrillers, and ghost stories. My heightened intuition and premonitions caused me fear until I learned how to harness the power of my psyche.  Fascinated by death and decay, I made others uncomfortable, yet I always found beauty in darkness. I now understand that uncomfortable experiences are a catalyst for our growth, and they have become the foundation for the work I do with others.

Meet Melissa Kim Corter

International Bestselling Author
MA in Depth Psychology, PhD Candidate & Speaker

As a highly empathic, intuitive child, Melissa Kim Corter was fascinated with other people’s basements. Dark, unexplored spaces enthralled her, and her insatiable curiosity toward the hidden dimensions of the mind led to decades of exploring the shadow dynamics within the human psyche and in nature.

Her work sometimes makes people uncomfortable. It asks us to explore the hidden, unknown dimensions of self and to tend to it. Melissa uses creative and symbolic forms such as film, fairy tales, and dreams to reveal psychological patterns and hidden potentials. Melissa has her Masters in Depth Psychology with an emphasis on Jungian archetypal studies and is pursuing a Ph.D. at Pacifica Graduate Institute.
